Is the DP1 Merrill worth a try ?

Hi all !

I currently have trouble finding a good lens for my Nex6 when it comes to landscapes. I find the results quite unsharp with the 20mm lens I have right now, and I'm not sure the Sigma 19mm would give far better results on my camera.

I've been considering buying the Zeiss 24mmf1.8, since it's said to be much sharper. Of course, the angle of view is different, but still, I would accommodate quite easily I think.

However, I've just stumbled upon the Sigma DPM forum, and I feel like the DP1M, that is currently half the price of the Zeiss lens, would also be a great deal. It looks definitely sharper than anything I've seen on a Nex.

Since I mostly never shoot lower than ISO100 (IQ is important to me), I don't mind the poor ISO performances of the DP1M. As for the AF, well, coming from a FZ35 before my Nex, I think I can handle it if it is slow, and as long as I can turn it manual and use magnification when needed, I don't really mind.

However, I'm quite concerned about the dynamic range. Is it any good ? Of course, I don't plan to shoot HDR with it, but coming from a Nex 6, I have some really bad habits when it comes to put some light in shadow corners.

Thanks for your answers !
