Samsung NX3000 Feature Wish List
Oct 7, 2014
Hello,
I have been thinking of a feature list for the Samsung NX3000 firmware.
Now, I have created one below.
I am missing some features on the NX3000 which I know from the NX30 and other cameras, so I am collecting ideas in this thread.
IF YOU HAVE FURTHER IDEAS OR QUESTIONS, PLEASE COMMENT BELOW :).
Here is my collection of ideas and those ideas of my friends and colleagues:
- Photo display mode: At the moment, you scroll from the oldest to the newest files on your camera by pressing the "go LEFT" button on the navigation ring of the camera. I wished there was a feature that you can invert this navigation type, because I know from other cameras that you navigate from the oldest to the newest files by pressing the "go RIGHT" button on the navigation ring of the camera.
- Photo display mode: Please add a function that you can see the file size of each picture. You can already see the size in pixels, but not in Megabytes.
- View the actual time in the "AUTO" mode. (So far, you can only see the current time in the P, A, S, M modes, but not in the "AUTO" mode.
- Interval function: WHY IS THIS FUNCTION MISSING? It is so important and useful, but why is it missing here? Please add this function, Samsung!!!
- Photo display mode: retract the lens into the housing (optionally).
- Video mode: manual settings for aperture, ISO, shutter speed.
- There is a 20 min. time limit for video files: Please add a function that the camera starts a new movie clip after 20 minutes (then, you don't have to run to the camera every 20 minutes to turn it on again).
- Capture a photo in AF mode, even if the motif is not perfectly focussed (better an unsharp picture than no picture) (as optional function in the camera menu).
- Video mode with 24 fps, interlaced mode and 60 fps (as the NX300 can shoot 24 and 60 fps => the NX300 and the NX3000 have the same DRIMe IV image processor, so both cameras could shoot 60 fps technically).
- Photo burst mode with 8 fps, as the predecessor (the NX2000) was able to shoot) and as the NX300 can shoot. There is no technical reason why the burst mode is limited to 5 fps on the NX3000, since all of the named cameras have the same DRIMe IV processor.
Cheers
George
