Re: Basic Photoshop settings for RAW JPEG conversion.. EX2F?

It's another morning, unshowered, sitting at the kitchen table, running in and out of the house with sample shots and viewing them on my laptop.

One thing I'm beginning to notice. There may be an interaction going on between this 17" wsxga screen and its pixel resolution when viewing EX2F 12m superfine images that may not have been happening with the older, smaller sensor and lower resolution, camera. It may be some interpolation misfit that is partly to blame for scary initial results. It only addresses a small part of my concerns but it's something.

Side by side comparisons began Thurday morning between the SL420 and the EX2F. 48 hrs later I'm at the table attempting the "idiot's" RAW learning curve, dabbling beyond AP CS6 (lightweight user for a couple of years), and fretting over how to set pixel resolution on this wsxga 17" screen for optimal viewing/editing in the first place.

So apologies for the hasty posting here. I got this camera from Hong Kong via Ebay/Paypal with no small amount of back and forth with the seller over misunderstandings in shipping and tracking. Returning on my dime is a non starter. I'd be money ahead reselling it in A condition along with all of the extras hastily ordered. Leather carry case, 52mm accessory barrel and macro filters. Remote shutter release and a few other bits.

But I'll still commit the next few days to working with it. Thanks so much for the input here

I'll post some images this evening once I'm confident enough that I've committed no glaringly stupid errors shooting them such as the white balance in the first photos of the other thread.
