looking at the reviews on the Pentax Forum page, i see the K30 accepts a wired remote release. i like those. if that is important to you, check into the K50... the reviews are structured so differently, i couldn't easily find if the K50 has a port and stopped looking. i did find mention of the USB port for K50 but no mention of remote release.

On the grip beneath the SD-card door the K-50 has the same jack for wired remote as the K-30. The jack cover even depicts a wired remote, so there you have it. I don't like this plastic flap cover of those remote jacks, because they are a potential leak on the body.

For what it's worth: K-30 supports the Eye-Fi card, natively or not, it just works: I am using it.
