I use my E-P5 with the VF4 and wireless flash all the time. On the camera, set the flash to RC (Remote Control), and pop up the flash. Set the flash to RC and you're good to go. It's worked for me every time. I use the little Oly FL300 R, but it should work with any Olympus flash that works wirelessly.

Hello everyone.

I'm planning on buying my first serious flash kit.

But I just noticed that I can't use a flash trigger on my E-P5 with the VF-4 attached!

I know I can use the built-in flash to trigger slave units, but sometimes it doesn't work well in outdoors or long distances.

Did anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Can the E-P5 RC mode sync with other brands of flashes (ex. Yongnuo 560III) or triggers (Yongnuo, Godox)?

Is there another way to sync flashes without using the hotshoe?

Thanks!
