Hello,

As suggested by many pro on this forum, I am shooting using the Adobe RGB mode 100% time in Raw mode.

I am using C1LE to make a few correction to my images and final retouch (curves, saturation, sharpening) are done in PS7. here are the settings :

C1LE

PS7

Am I doing well or should I configure it differently ?

Then, once saved in high quality jpg for the print on a Fuji machine at a local shop, should I convert it to sRGB or can they use AdobeRGB ?

Thank you for your help

Hey guys,

I've just fully configured my Photoshop yesterday. I used the "Photoshop 7 and colour management" tutorial found on http://www.computer-darkroom.co.uk . A very good tutorial explaining everything about the Photoshop color settings. Read it and you'll find that you'd best make some adjustments to your PS settings, Stéphan.

I have not tried C1 yet, but maybe you'll be able to configure it correctly too after having read the PS tutorial.

Good luck!

Pascal.

Stéphan,

Hi, I'm using a different camera profile.

I've done many test and noticed that the supplied Canon 10D profile with the program gives better result (much lighter and better detail) than using the AdobeRGB setting.

What I use is
1. set the profile on you 10D to AdobeRGB
2. set the 'camera profile' on your C1 to 10D + 10% saturation
(you can download this from the C1 website)
3. set output in C1 to AdobeRGB
4. set Photoshop to Adobe RGB
5. calibrate your monitor with the supplied profiling program in Photoshop

it is of course a personal preference but this works best for me

Regards
Jasper

Thank you.

I was previously using 'camera profile' with + 20% saturation. It was maybe a bit too much. I will try you settings
