Noob Question
Noob Question

I'm using the NX1000 with the 50-200mm lens, I notice that even in bright light I can't use high shutter speeds(1/1000sec). Settings used are aperture priority mode ISO 400, f/5.6 with the shutter speed ranging from 1/200sec - 1/800sec. Obviously I could change to shutter priority mode or manual to force the shutter speed to go faster but then risk having a under exposed photos. Now if I'm using my dslr (canon 600D with 100-400mm lens) with the same settings I get shutter speeds up 1/2000 or more. Now I know there is a huge difference between the two, so my question is: is the lower shutter speeds I get on the nx1000 inherent with the body or the lens? Or if I say upgrade the body to say a nx300 would I get better shutter speeds? Just wondering if I should keep the nx system or change brands. I like the compact system cameras as it is something I can fit in my handbag and take with me everywhere.
Looking forward to your comments.
