I wanted a bridge camera between my disappointing Nikon point and shoot and my Canon Rebel T1i. Actually more realistically to replace the Nikon. I've taken around over 1200 pics so far.

Pros

Excellent image quality. In fact, I hate to admit it, but it's better than my Rebel (with kit lens. I guess now I'll be buying a new lens!)

Nice handling

Fast time to 1st shot

Fast focus

Very good battery life

Nice custom features.

Camera level indicator is very nice

Extremely fast burst speed.

Good screen, quite bright, works at wide angles

Cons

Not great at focusing at short distances such as flowers. If you can get it to focus on the flower, it will take a very good picture.

Viewfinder is mediocre, useful only when you absolutely can't see the screen. But the screen works so well I almost never need the viewfinder.

Had I know the screen was so good I may have chosen the Powershot S120 with the same specs and screen but smaller and lighter.

I chose this camera above the Panasonic Lumix ZS40 & Fuji Z20.
