Re: Olympus e-PM2 - what am i doing wrong?

Ok i think i've finally started to understand this camera. My problem was using the iauto mode. Coming from point and shoots the iauto mode rarely failed me, and even using a Canon DSLR the iauto mode is great, but for whatever reason on this Olympus camera the iauto mode should be avoided. I'm now using P mode, and dabbling in S and A mode when i feel like it, and it's working much better. Took some new photos today at lunchtime, it's very gloomy and overcast so was a good chance to see how to camera handles the different lighting conditions too.

Had some fun with the art filters too - as you can see in the last photo. Depending on the conditions they can create some cool effects.

Anyway, i'm going to book myself into the DSLR course tomorrow (have to go home and find my receipt so i can book it). Thank you so much to everyone that helped and gave great advice about how to understand this camera, i really appreciate it. For those of you who didn't help, but just insulted me and said i don't know anything about photography - i'm aware i don't know a lot about photography as yet and i know some of my posts probably sounded stupid. I want to learn and i'm hoping this camera will help me do so.

I'll post a new question if i have any issues or questions going forward...by then i should have learned about the more advanced photography techniques and will understand a lot more

Like a pro already, good work.
