I think this would be a nice option for Pentax. Make a shorter registration mirrorless K-mount and instead of selling it Body only, sell it with two adapters for K-mount lenses. One is a high quality hollow adapter that passes through electronics and screw drive from the body for third party and DA/DA* lenses. And another adapter for .69 speed booster that fits K-mount FA, M and A lenses or FF third party like Sigma. So the Kit body has two high quality adapter for crop and FF K-mount lenses. Plus give out the specs to Samyang & Zeiss to build for the new short reg mirrorless K-mount. Maybe KS mount for K-short registration.

If you're going to do that, you should make the short mount all-electronic.  The mechanical aperture lever is apparently a major reason why third party lens makers prefer to avoid dealing with the K-mount.  If that's changed to electronic, and the autofocus support was SDM only, we'd attract more Sigma and Tamron lenses.  This means that the K adapter has to have a focus motor and aperture actuator in it, making it pricey, but you could offer a cheaper SDM-only version.  Pentax might not want to do that; maybe it would be a third party thing.
