Amalric is right, though.   For true decisive moments that 1/8 delay can matter.   I don't shoot such often, but I recall when I wanted to catch pedestrians walking past two trees and wanted their gait frozen in the space between them, I tried to anticipate and had to press the shutter a little earlier to succeed.   If this is the type of moment one seeks out often that 1/8 shutter delay would be confounding.
