The best XF zoom with Raynox 150 and 250mm ??????

After all my tests done in full sun in my garden in ideal conditions, with the purpose of only handheld shots, in my experience the 18-135mm is by far the best and I would like to add the only really useful for that purpose

my opinion is funded on these observations :

1/- nearly no vignetting at 135mm and very moderate at 55mm

2/- AFC consistently focus in 100% of shots even at 135mm and  R250

3/- OIS does help a lot with 5 EV gain

4/- allows 1:1 ratio handheld without any problem

5/- better DOF than 200mm with better pleasing results

In my experience the 55-200mm works 50% satisfactory at 200mm with the 150 Raynox and 10% satisfactory with the 250, in pure handheld AFC shots i guess with a sturdy tripod it could be a very precious lens but as a trekker I want my gearb  to be as light as possible

So again in my opinion the winner is without any doubt the 18-135mm

It's another asset of this very interesting lens

A few words about the 2 raynox now : very sharp and very easy to handle

Quite an important play on the universal adapter so carefully centring it is advisable for symetric vignette (easy to control in afew seconds)

In the framework I described above I give

18-135mm *****

18-55 *** ok but small magnification

55-200mm ** due to unreliable AFC in operation

When you walk for hours it's difficult to imagine you will be 100% stable so both OIS and AFC are essential
