Aftermarket batteries are just as good as OEM

After all the above in this thread, maybe its the OEM camera battery chargers that are set up to 'not like' the aftermarket batteries??? My canon 7D charger gives me fits sometimes with OEM and aftermarket batts.

I've got a 7D also. The OEM charger will only charge batteries that are "chipped". I have a bunch of aftermarket batteries, some chipped. The chipped ones charge in the OEM charger. I also have a 3rd party charger for the non-chipped batteries but you can also charge aftermarket chipped and OEM batteries in it.

I've not had any issues with my OEM charger charging the OEM and aftermarket chipped batteries.

Thanks for your info. All camera chargers are perfectly made I guess.


I wish they were  The charger for my Fuji camera does not work at all, it's defective.
