A55 w/28mm f/2.8 Minolta (Holiday Family Hike and Camp Out)

My son and family decided to go on a hike and over night camp out on the holiday and for his birthday. I took this as an opportunity to try my A55 with a 28 year old Minolta 28mm f/2.8. I just repaired the lens last night (removed the aperture assembly and washed the blades in my sonic washer because of oil on the blades). The lens now functions like new. I am very pleased with the lens sharpness and quick focusing on the A55.

I was the designated driver for drop off and pick up of this crew. At time of the drop off it was 88° F and humid. The weather has storms predicted for tomorrow with a possibility of seventy mph winds so we will see how the fair at time of pick up. The last time we went camping in the mountains on June 20th the temp dropped 25° F and there was a blizzard outside.

I am enjoying using my four year old A55 and Minolta legacy lenses.  All shots handheld, RAW and post processed in PS CS6:
