Paper Profiles vs Printer Profiles
Forgive me if I haven't adequately searched the forum for the answer but, here's the question. As I am printing with HP B9180, their print software allows the selection of a paper and method of color control (printer vs application). I assumed that the printer always used a paper selection even with application controlled color (self profiled printer). My assumption was that the paper selection told the printer how much ink was necessary for a particular paper. Am I correct and if so, does this concept exist across printer and paper manufacturer lines?
