Clown Church: That gorgeous FA 24-90 f/3.5-4.5

I just can't get enough of this beautiful lens. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The FA 24-90mm f/3.5-4.5 lens is the best $300 I ever spent on the used market. Ever.

Some recent shots using said 24-90:

Clown church. Because clowns congregate in places that are small.

The Calgary Horror-Con.

Yes, it's also good for weddings (including the "prep the bride" shots)

The Drumhellian himself approves.

Underground, overground, flash or otherwise, this is THE walkaround lens in the Pentax lineup.

All of the above shots have been printed at 20x30 or 24x30 and looked absolutely fantastic — and all of them have sold well. I can't believe how sharp this lens is for a variable-aperture zoom. If you can find a used copy, I seriously HIGHLY recommend it.

Unless edge-to-edge sharpness and low distortion matter more than versatility (say, for art reproductions, etc.) the 24-90 lives on my K-3, on the job or off.

Let me know what you think, eh.
