Minnehaha Falls with Variable ND (FZ1000)
1

I purchased a Neewer brand variable ND knowing there would be a quality compromise. I'm also aware single ND (no variable) produce better results. I thought for now, I would give the cheap Neewer a try to see if it gets me by since it was so much cheaper than others.

It's convenient to dial in the amount of the effect, that's for sure.

I wish I would have done more controlled tests (took notes on settings, and it's effect on WB and such).

I also had a B+W multi-coated Circ Poloarizer mounted behind the Neewer varilable ND.

After some PP, I'm okay with the results, but do note a compromise in quality. They seem okay at "normal" viewing online. I hope to get out and test with only the neewer and take some notes and do more comparisons. Four samples below. The first 14 at this link are the rest from today: http://myfotoguy.zenfolio.com/p43430541
