K-S1 - keeping it real

All right, since some people were annoyed by my intervention on some baseless speculations I'll leave those threads alone and open this one, for people liking to discuss real information.

What do we know so far about this K-S1?

First, that it's real. We saw many pictures, and even a presentation video.

Basic specs:

- 20.12MP sensor (new to Pentax) without AA filter, max ISO 51200

- PRIME MII processor

- K-3's AA filter simulator

- 100% pentaprism viewfinder, 0.95x magnification

- 1/6000" shutter, 5.4 fps max.

- SAFOX IXi + AF with 11 points/areas (9 cross type)

- full HD video (no 4K, sorry!) - movie mode activated via the

- D-LI109 battery

- FluCard compatibility

- 120 mm x 92.5 mm x 69.5mm

Other things:

- new interface, with the mode dial moved on the back plate

- LEDs everywhere, the buttons are illuminated. The LEDs have a functional role, e.g. the shutter one is green for stills, red for movies; the grip leds are acting as timer and face detection indicators. And they can be deactivated!

- The infamous "gap" appears to be nothing more than a groove.
