Not true what Coldamus writes about focussing assistant for manual in NX300. This works only with original lenses, NOT for manual focussing with lenses mounted with an adaptor. Maybe of no big importance for wide angle to normal lenses and slow shots, but the more you go into tele and macro field and time for focussing becomes an issue, the less this combination (NX300 plus adapted lens which needs manual focussing) is to be recommended. This IS a problem, imo.
My Pentax K01 has other big disadvantages, but for this issue, the Samsung designers would much better have copied its principles - the manual focussing assistance is better, and - more important - it can be used independent of the mounted lens (whatever you can mount on the camera, or even with a magnifying glass held in front of it, it can be just switched "on" and does its focussing help). In the NX300, the assistants functioning is limited to the manual focussing with original lenses.
I have Samsung NX20 and Pentax K-01 which I bought specifically to work with old manual lenses. While the Pentax has very useful built-in stabilizer, it's easier to nail focus with the Samsung, because magnified image is much sharper.
