K-3 handled rain with aplomb ----

Last Saturday was the beginning of the season for my sons' (yes, two of them) Gridiron games at which I've been the unofficial photographer for some years.

For the first 30 to 40 minutes it rained steadily. Not heavy but enough to saturate me and the camera. The K-3 and DA*60-250 never missed a beat. I had a small hand towel tucked into my belt with which I periodically wiped the camera and lens. In dull, miserable conditions I had no problems shooting at 1600 and 3200 ISO - 6400 was so-so.

When I got home I placed the camera and lens (still attached) in a container with a  bag of silica gel. Just a precaution.

And links to a couple of pics with rain evident (first one is my youngest boy):-
