I'll just throw these in as guesses:

  • Vario-Tessar T* 16-35mm f/4 ZA OSS (SEL1635Z)
  • G 100 Macro
  • FE 85 f4
  • More possibilities: 24 f/2.8, a 28 f/2.8, a 135 f/2.8, and a 200 f/4.

A7r mk2 body + One other body.

A headline-grabbing announcement might be in store as Sony wouldn't want press reports to be dominated by other brands. Lenses or minor enhancements to existing cameras would be announced simply to fill the body of the press reports.

Any camera with a curved sensor would fit the bill. Alternatively, reporters wsould love the rumored E-mount mini-body with a phone attachment, although it is rather bizarre for technical reasons.

They were saying 2 years for the curved sensor product, but increasingly there have been some suggestions it may be real soon. What size/type of camera do you figure?

A compact sports camera with fixed focal length lens and a 1" sensor would be the right platform for a curved sensor.

RX100 m4?

I'm not so sure that the phone attachment thingies really caught the public's imagination. they are practically giving them away. Yet another use of the ubiquitous 1" sensor, though.

They are hard to use. It might work better if Sony provides a dedicated wired connection to some of their own phones that works simply by connecting the two gadgets together.

Interesting that these also use the 1" sensor from the RX100. Sony must have big plans for this sensor.
