This doesn't really have much to do with photography, but I thought I'd ask to see if anyone else has looked into this. I got my eyes examined last week and they said my cataracts had gotten worse and that my prescription had changed dramatically because of that. Different diffraction index of the cataract vs a healthy eye. I waited a day until my eyes were back to normal after being dilated.
It was a choice between Hoya progressive lenses at one place or Varilux lenses at another place. I went with the Varilux as they were more than $ 100 cheaper. Does anyone have any real experience comparing the two different companies lenses. I was told that the Varilux had a wider field of sharpness, but they were selling the Varilux.
