XT1 Blown Highlights - Advice please

Hiya ,

I love my X-T1.

May I have your advice please ??

Here is the scenario.

I sometimes take an image and the parts of the sky can be blown out ( clipped highlights ) particularly when dark cloud and light cloud appear side by side.

This is obvious when looking at the image and also whilst viewing the blown highlights in the Raw converter. As you know , these clipped highlights show up as being red on the image within the Raw converter. I duly adjust the sliders and the red clipped highlights will disappear. Nevertheless the Sky can still look too blown out despite this.

Have you noticed this on your images ?? and What do you do to combat this ?? i.e -

1. Alter the +/- compensation dial before image capture
2. Bracket before image capture
3. HDR

Thanks for your time.
