The M.Zuiko 12mm has an angle of view of 71,6 degrees, while the M.Zuiko 17mm has an angle of view of 53,9 degrees. That's big difference.

According to the Specs section of the B&H listing for the 12mm, its angle of view is 84 degrees. The AoV for the Olympus 17mm is 65 degrees.

The numbers that I've given were the ones that I took from the iPhone application called "Lens Tutorial". So your numbers might be better than mine.

However, can I say that we both agree on the fact that the angles of view of the 12mm and the 17mm are quite different?

No problem, I totally agree that the lenses' angle of view are indeed different.

Here's a photo that someone came up with that I find very helpful.  I wish I had the originator's name so I could give him full credit for it.
