What are your most favorite "Swiss Army" lenses?

Hi all,

Assuming you that it was only practical to take a couple lenses (1-4 lenses) along with you, which lenses would make up the blades of your tool kit for any given situation? [Weight/size is not a factor, but being realistic for what you might really use/possibly-buy-some-day; you can determine the situation based on your own uses.]  Personally, I have a "2 prime" + "1 zoom" philosophy, mostly because of weight; but maybe you like 1 super heavy prime, or a couple zooms.  Just curious what others carry & for what situations.

For example, my ideas are like this, maybe:

1.) City Tourist Travel: 85/1.8 + 50/1.8 + 18-35.

2.) Local Social Gathering: 105VR + 24-70 + 35/1.4.

3.) The Great Outdoors: 70-200VR + 50/1.4 + 14-24.

4.) Informal Portraits: 135/2 (or 85/1.4) + 58/1.4 (or 35/1.4).

5.) No Agenda:  28-300VR + 50/1.8 + 20/2.8.

If I was using a battery grip on the camera or carrying a flash, or both, I wouldn't carry 3 lenses, I'd probably limit it to two.  However, your situations & needs might be different.  So I'm just curious what do you like to carry (and what's the situation)?
