If you want to spend a little more I suggest the Touit 32. IMO it's the best lens you can put on the A6000. If you want to spend less the Sigma 30 and Sigma 60 make a great combination. They are only f2.8 lenses, however, and the IQ is not that far behind the Touit.

Then there are the legacy lenses -- good IQ at really cheap prices. You lose the AF of the 6000, however.

Yes the Sigma 30 in good and cheap and the Touit is lovely and dearer, I think the SEL35f18 is just right!

  • compact
  • light
  • even though it has plastic body I think its well built
  • pretty fast at f1.8
  • OSS
  • Very good IQ
  • Good bokeh
  • Fast to focus
  • nice big lens shade gives me confidence to not need a protective UV filter
  • on my A6000 (and NEX6) perfect proportions and balance
  • for me the 50mm eqv focal length is the work horse, all rounder lens. Don't hesitate to spend some money on it.
