Very impressive list that you put together.

For the OP, I highlighted the obvious first lenses to consider:

  1. E1650 kit zoom
  2. E35 fast prime w/OSS
  3. E1018 wide zoom
  4. E55210 tele zoom

This cover a very broad spectrum of photo-styles, and will be easiest on the budget. If you are just experimenting, instead of the pricey E1018, do consider the E16+ECU1 (UWA) - this gets you to 12mm for a lot less money.

For a walk-around, compact lens - the 'pancake' E20 surely delivers. It is better mated to the (much smaller) 5N/5T/5R models, but even on the a6000, it makes for a compact setup.

All the 'ZA' marked lenses in the list below are premium lenses - they get you extra IQ at a higher price point. The 'G' market lenses are still to be proven - they seem to have a video applications in mind sometimes (maintain constant 'video' aperture during zoom). The Sigma's have been popular as their IQ is very high for a fairly inexpensive lens. The Zeiss Touits are very good, but wait for a special discount.

  4. Others: ZA (Sony Zeiss Alpha lenses), G (Sony G lens), PZ (Power Zoom)
