I think every one here know that if a big manufacturer such as Sony, Nikon, Canon or even fuji, come with an ironed 3 layers sensor, it will kill the SIGMA niche forever.

Word on the street street is that Canon will use their more recent patented 5-layer (lawyer) sensor.

Ye I seen this before ...

Since we all know canon is kinda sleeping "technologically" wise, they might come with something new and spectacular ... who knows ?

Anyway, for sure, Canon need to wake up "sensor wise" because of concurrence.
