Yes, as long as you don't need repairs, or, if you are willing to purchase duplicate equipment while yours is being repaired.

31mm lens in the shop since March 28th waiting on parts. Came back incorrectly repaired.

K5iis and 77mm lens in shop since June. Still waiting. Purchased a third camera to cover my needs until repairs are completed. (Need two cameras for weddings.)

Pentax repairs will now be at Precision Camera in Connecticut. CRIS says the inability to get parts is part of the reason for the change in venue.

So, for the first time I am wondering if using Pentax professionally is doable? Unless, Riccoh can service their cameras by providing parts in a timely manner, the unfortunate answer may be no.

My daughter had sent in her D800 2.5 weeks ago for a mirror box that would not function correctly and they replaced it and had it back to her in a 2 week turnaround. I am still waiting for my K5 II that will not power up and have not heard anything on what’s needs to be done or when it will come back and this is week 5. If it was not for the great designs I would have left completely for Canon for the better customer service.

With Canon I have always experienced quick and quality work done to many of my repairs
