Nice review. Interesting. Thank you for posting this. I really like that you have posted so many different photos. I too am very impressed with how that yellow boat turned out, after the roof looked blown out. I have had lots of trouble with blown out yellow stuff in my Foveon photos. I look forward to shooting with a Quattro.

Sorry to hear about your experience with SPP. I downloaded and installed SPP 6.0.0 when it first came available, and it worked fine for me on my little 2 year old notebook computer. I just downloaded SPP 6.0.5 a couple of days ago, and I notice nothing different. Both seem to work the same speed for me. It takes about 1 minute per photo to export 10 photos to 16 bit TIFF, but yesterday I exported a photo that I adjusted (white balance, contrast, X3F fill light, etc.), and that export in S-HI resolution at quality 11 took about 3 or 4 minutes!

I'm using a 2011 MacBook Air, with a 1.8 GHz dual-core i7 processor and 4 GB of 1333 MHz RAM, running Mac OSX 10.7.5.

At least I found that the SPP6.05 is more stable than the previous ones, adjustment processing can be a little bit more efficient, no more freeze and it won't quit unexpectedly that often.

I'm not expecting it would be a fast application, but I hope someday it could be like SPP5 at least.
