Re: Two specific questions about the Samsung EX2F camera...

1. My 1st question is what Samsung (or Pentax) flash units can effectively handle TTL flash with the EX2F. I have the Metz 44 AF (Samsung dedicated for my NX300), but I'm wondering if this flash will communicate properly with the older (and not X model) EX2F. So any flash recommendations (not manual or auto units) that would effectively mesh with this EX2F would be appreciated.
To the best of my knowledge, all Samsung NX flashes are also compatible with the EX2F. e.g SEF-15A, SEF-20A, SEF-42A SEF-220A, etc. The hotshoe layout is the same and so is TTL compatibility. The EX2F even has the two auxiliary power contacts at the rear of the hotshoe for the small NX bundled flashes such as SEF-8A that draw their power from the camera battery.
Pentax flashes are not TTL compatible with Samsung NX or EX series. They worked with the Samsung GX series dslrs which were rebadged Pentax cameras with a few cosmetic and firmware tweaks.
I can't say specifically that your Metz 44 AF will be compatible but can't see why not.
2. Also, the 2nd question is centered around firmware updates. Can the current Samsung i-Launcher software be used to check for and perform firmware updates to the likes of the EX2F? Or will some other way have to be done (i.e. manually - downloading and then installing that way)? And if it's manually done, can anyone provide me with a link to the Samsung site that may have the latest firmware (if there was even a firmware update released for this model)?
I checked the Australian and Canadian support sites and in both cases the only download available for the EX2F under "firmware" is the i-Launcher upgrade guide (pdf).

That seems to indicate that i-Launcher is your only option.
