T2i and Burst Mode

Don't have access to the camera or manual at the moment.  But need a quick answer.

When shooting burst mode, will the camera automatically shoot off a specific number of shots, or continue shooting as long as you hold the shutter button down?  If your finger is fast, can still only get a single shot taken, and not several?

Where is this option in the menu?

The thought is to be ready for wildlife in places such as Yellowstone.  Any other settings that I should consider for fast action shooting in order to increase my chances for keepers?

Thanks for any and all tips.
