60D-Exposure Issues- Camera or Me?

This happened to me last year and then went away, I thought. Concern is as follows:

Shooting in Manual, high speed drive, AI Servo, Spot Metering, White Balance per lighting, Spot Metering, center point auto focus, no exposure bracketing or compensation. I am shooting my daughters U11 soccer games.

While taking consecutive photos. I will have several photos in a row that have different exposures and can be drastically different. The auto focus point seems to be in the same spot, the girls havent moved that far, etc. It should almost be the exact same photo but the exposure isnt the same. It seems like this happens on hot or really sunny days, don't know if that matters or not, Sensor overheating or getting hot?

I am very new to this all and assume it's me, but just in case it isn't I thought I'd check.

I would appreciate some advise or thoughts, thanks in advance for your input.
