27mm for portraits

Hi,

I know that the title might cause some arguments already that this is not appropriate for portraits (close ups) but since this is my focal length for my every day shooting (makes my compact body even more compact), I need your brain.

I would like to ask you help me see what kind of shoots I can take that would include humans and they will not be too distant from the lens. If a close up is forbidden can I try something that includes a larger fraction of their body? If yes how much that should be? Can you give ideas on what I can do with (kind of portraits shoots with that lens) without distortion making results look ugly?

I would like to thank you in advance for your reply

Regards

A
