Nikon 50mm f1.4 Ais mf lens aperture problem?
Please pardon the beginer question but are the aperture blades on a nikon 50mm f1.4 ais manual focus lens supposed to spring back open when you operate them from the tab on the rear of the lens? I hope that makes sense. I recently purchased my used ebay lens and hadn't really put it through some test until this morning when I realized that the blades weren't opening all the way when I would operate the f-stop ring and would NOT spring back open when I would operate the aperture from tab. I use it on a d3300 and when I went to shoot with it I wasn't able to adjust f-stop only shutter and iso and expo comp, I think that I was able to when it first arrived 2 months ago but not 100% sure. The lens otherwise looks great. Any help will be highly appreciated, thanks. I hope I didn't buy a lemon.
