Refurb 6D shutter count question

I got my 6D refurb from Canon a few months back. I finally found a utility to show me the shutter count here:

http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3613095#forum-post-54174986

It says the camera has 2223 shutter actuations. I can see that the first image I took with the camera was file name 1567. The last image I took is showing 3154. I never reset or otherwise altered the generation sequence. So it is safe to assume that the number of images taken by me is 1587. Would it be safe to assume that the starting shutter count was 636?

Is there any other variable I might be missing?

Thanks.
