FZ1000 owners: Be aware, it's a "professional" camera
1

I spent the morning in my downtown area with my FZ1000 and passed by our historic Mission Inn Hotel:

A hotel security officer was walking by and wanted to give me a "heads up" that photography outside was permitted, but not inside. I was puzzled, because I have photographed inside many times, so I asked if the policy had changed. Little cameras and smartphones are OK, but not professional cameras, he replied.

I asked what determined if a camera is "professional." More than 10 megapixels, he said. I asked how he could tell. The big cameras like yours are more than 10 mpx he answered.

I thanked him and continued on my way, laughing a bit to myself, because I've taken my 16 mpx Panasonic G3 + 20mm f/1.7 pancake lens inside many times and have never been stopped.

Of course, there is a bit of difference in size:

So, just so you will be prepared when you are lugging the big clunker around!
