Monkey 'selfie' dispute makes headlines

Isn't it cute! 

So who does own the rights to the photo. Is Wikipedia correct in its assertion that the monkey owns it but since it is not a legal human entity, the image then defaults to being public property? Or does the owner of the camera that lent it to the monkey to enable it to take the selfie own the image?
