Quattro IQ tests: Color, Clarity, Resolution, Tonal Range

I have been exploring the Quattro to see what I can make of if.  I have posted a few results on Flickr:

100% crop from an image created from 3 in-camera JPEGs. ISO 100 @ f5.6.  Available light. The master TIFF file is about 75 megs.

I have learned a lot from Laurence Matson. His suggestion of using a Hoodman was particularly useful, esp. when using manual focusing.  The Quattro would benefit from focus peaking as well as a bracketing range of at least 5 exposures.  The focus in the image above was on the texture of the orange.  This was made possible by using the Hoodman in manual focus mode.

All in all, I find it is possible to get images from the Quattro that are greater than the sum of the parts and quite likely simply not possible with a Bayer imager. I find this especially true when working with three or more exposures.

Questions, comments and suggestions welcome.

Thanks for looking.
