Maximizing RAW shooting buffer (650D/T4i)??

Hey all,

I've been looking around, because I've been quite frustrated with my burst shot speeds. I'm shooting a lot of wildlife lately, and using burst shots, because I catch a lot of raptors/large aquatic birds where I live.

I typically shoot in RAW, because I like to have the ability to extensively adjust the levels in my images. The main reason for this is that you can set your camera for the appropriate settings for your surroundings, but animals are unpredictable and love shadows and birds love to fly in and around trees where the light can change drastically.

I want to continue shooting in RAW, but the FPS drop at 6 frames, just isn't cutting it...

Does anyone know if there's a way to improve this? (firmware upgrade, hack, whatever?)

I am using a 32G SDHC Class 10 card.

I know the best answer is: buy a faster camera, but that's not in the cards.

I found this post from two years ago when the camera was released:

Thanks
-K
