Yup, I can agree with that. I use the word upgrade in a very general sense to mean expand one's horizons.

In that sense, I must correct myself to say that I also view an acquisition of a crop camera by a landscape photographer with a FF camera who switches from landscape photography to nature photography also as an upgrade in itself. Hope that explains.

Depth has been the mizzing dimenzion for long enough. But still, few are bothered with 3D.
