Lens Turbo II Minolta MD - Rokkor 24-35 and Rokkor 35-70

Just had a chance to do a quick test on this. My Rokkors always looked good on my NEX 5N with a dumb adapter - but of course I was getting the sweet spot. Now I can see if the wide primes are worthwhile at (more or less) their original fiels of view.

First the 24-35mm - always a bit lacking in contrast with dumb adapter and some noticeable CA with a dumb adapter. Here are shots at 24, 28 and 35mm all at f5.6

24mm, Colima, Mexico

at 28mm

Now the same with the 35 - 70mm at 35, 50 and 70mm, all at f5.6

at 35mm

at 50mm

at 70mm

Obviously 2 very different lenses and the 35 - 70mm lives up to its reputation I think. But I still like the 24-35 range and the images could easily be improved.

I still have to try my primes 24, 28 and the much despised 40mm, but it looks like the Turbo II is not a bad investment for these old lenses.

Incidentally all the pix are SOOC.
