Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 Pro, "front" focusing for autofocus.

I bought a copy of this lens a couple of months ago, and just realized it has an autofocus issue, that is the actual focal plane is in front of the intended focal point by autofocus. To illustrate this issue, I attached three photos taken with three lenses:

A. Panasonic 45-200mm f4.0

B. Olympus 45mm f1.8

C. Olympus 12-40mm F2.8 Pro

All the photos were taken with autofocus aiming at the third column from the left.

It is very obvious that A and B have the correct focal plane. In contrast, photo C, taken with the 12-40mm, has an actual focal plane at the junction between the 2nd and 3td columns, somewhere in front of the intended focus point. I believe it is an autofocusing issue, as from the viewfinder you can see the same pattern of "front" focusing. By the way, the manual focusing appeared to work correctly.

This seemingly minor issue actually has pretty big impacts on portrait shots! Has anybody noticed similar problems for this "Pro" lens?

Any input is appreciated.
