I view it like focus peaking. You can MF without it, but once you've tasted it, it's stupid to completely dismiss it. It should be at the very least be standard with the option of using it or not.

Touch screens/focus are the same except it's for AF. Those arguing against it sound like close-minded dinosaurs.
