How to Access Camera Under a Drive Letter?

I want to connect my camera via USB and use a PowerShell script to selectively copy files from the camera to my Windows Surface Pro as part of my normal workflow. The problem is that the camera shows up under "This PC" as "Canon EOS 650D" and there seems to be no way to assigned a drive letter (which the script requires) to it. Could this be because the camera is in PTP (Picture Transfer Protocol) mode? If so where can I turn it off? Can I turn it off?

I am connecting to the camera because I don't have a USB SD card reader with me. I assume that if I had one and plugged the SD card into it, I would get a drive letter.

Thanks.

Canon EOS Rebel T4i (EOS 650D / EOS Kiss X6i)
