Nikon D810, my thoughts from a D800 user + some photos.

Have been using a D810 for 2 weeks and here are some of my thoughts:

- shutter sound is a lot more quiet. Sounds more like a D7000 than a D800. I can shoot without attracting too much attention at quiet places

- ISO64 is great! Love it, i can now shoot wide open f/1.4 under bright sunlight without blown out highlights (or a lot less in extreme case)

- Don't think high ISO (in RAW) is any better than the D800. High ISO JPG is cleaner on the other hand.

- AF is more accurate and tracking is better, similar to D4s

- Comparing side by side with a D800 (not D800E), i honestly can't say the D810 photos are sharper. Maybe it is, but only very marginal

- Live view is a lot more refined. Much faster and smoother. I used it a lot more because of that.

- The body may look similar to the D800, but it feels better and more comfy in my hands.

- love the new highlight-weighted metering mode, very useful for many difference kind of photos, including landscape

- Frankly i wasn't too interested in the camera before I got it, but after using it for two weeks, I really quite like the camera. It does everything faster, better and smoother. It's just a much more refined camera than the D800.

For anyone interested, here is my full review:

And here are some photos I took with the D810

Capture Insane amount of details, just like the D800/D800E

ISO 12800

Handles high dynamic range scene easily

Quiet shutter didn't wake up my newborn
