Metabones Speed Booster and distance scales on full-frame legacy lenses

Here is a reminder to fellow Speed Booster users that after receiving your Speed Booster, it might require calibration/adjustment to the distance scale on your legacy lens(es).

Make sure that screw of the focal-reducer lens element is driven inwards completely; otherwise, it would be very hard to mount the adapter on the camera body.

If your infinity mark on your lens is not in synch with your Speed Booster, you should adjust/calibrate the lens element. I asked my opto-mechanical friend to do the job for me, and he did it in 10 minutes. Now I can use the distance scale exactly the way as on a full-frame camera, I am very happy.

If you feel too hard/stiff to mount the adapter onto the camera, the loose screw is the reason.

Take care, Miki
