Would it make sense for Sigma to create a smaller camera now?

When the DP1 came out it was unique. It delivered a DSLR size sensor with a great lens in a size that was unheard of for the time.

Now 8 years later we have the Quattro generation and while the technical advances are undeniable, so is the increase in size.

I would certainly be interested in a camera of around the same size as the original DP series, with the same mechanical quality of the Merrill/Quattro series and the same firmware and screen as the Quattro.

If Sigma was to basicly cut the Quattro sensor in half we'd end up with a m43 sized 10/2.5/2.5mp sensor which would deliver great image quality, but be less demanding on processing, so the smaller camera size would be realistic. Add a high quality lens and I think we'd end up with a winner.
