A77 II: BIFs Birds Nature and Low Light Samples

All shots are JPEG Extra Fine with minimal PSE10 processing for sharpness and Shadow/Highlight adjustments. See EXIF for details but lenses used were Sony SAL300f28 (with and without SAL14TC) and Minolta AF 600f4 APO HS G. It has taken me some time to learn how to get the best out of this Camera and I think I can still improve but I am finally thrilled with my results. the shot of the Black-crowned Night Heron with fish was taken in very dark shade and with bright light reflecting on the background water making for nothing but a silhouette to the naked eye. It is a shot I would not attempt with my A77 I but am pretty happy with the performance / result at ISO 1600 on the A77II! the AF Module continues to amaze me. Have many excellent shots of Purple Martins in flight! Enjoy!

Purple Martin male. fast and agile. the detail in this one still amazes me.
