Reala was about 88. PMC was around the same time...maybe 89-90. Reala was superb in my Mamita RB. MF was so much better though. I've done grain free 16x20 shots back then from the old Fuji NPH and they had only the slightest grain. Fascinating how things have changed in the industry from even 88 til now. I cant imagine doing it in the 70's

I recall one time I was hired to do some landscape style pictures for the display at a local photo lab. I was using a Pentax 6x7 at the time. I shot the assignment on Ektar 25/120, the resulting negatives were blown up to 40x60 inches, and were amazing. Grain free and extremely detailed. Were I to want to do the same thing today, I suspect I would have to do a multiple exposure collage. Digital just isn't there yet.

The old Ektar was magic...if a bit contrasty. I loved it in 35 as well. It still amazes how big a print I can do from my Mamiya RB67 when I do a good scan.
